Bradford City have agreed to sign Luton Town winger Dion Pereira, Football Insider understands.

The 22-year-old is well down the pecking order at Luton and the Championship club are happy to let him go out on loan.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that a number of clubs have expressed an interest in signing Pereira this month.

But Bradford have moved quickly to agree a deal that runs until the end of the season.

Pereira's only appearance for the Hatters this season was an 18-minute cameo in the first round Carabao Cup defeat to Stevenage back in August.

The youngster moved to Kenilworth Road from MLS side Atlanta United in November 2020 and signed a new contract with the club over the summer.

He joined National League side Yeovil Town on a one-month loan deal in October 2021 but that was cut short after he only managed one appearance due to injury.

His Luton contract will expire at the end of the current campaign so he may be available on a free transfer in the summer.

Bradford City are still within touching distance of the League Two play-offs despite winning just one of their last eight league games.

Pereira began his career with Watford but has only made five appearances in English football, including two in the Premier League.

At Atlanta, he contributed three assists in 21 games across all competitions.
