Sources: Brighton agree forward deal with Wolves man Tweedy
Wolves scout John Tweedy is set to join Brighton in a recruitment role, sources have told Football Insider.
Tweedy has agreed a deal to leave Molineux for their Premier League rivals in a role focusing on attacking players.
He has previously worked as head of academy recruitment at Sunderland, where he spent 15 years, and was also a scout for Man United.
At Wolves, Tweedy's current role is head of north of England/Scotland recruitment and he has spent over three years at the club.
Brighton are embarking on a major reshuffle of their recruitment team following an exodus of senior staff in the wake of Graham Potter's appointment at Chelsea last September.
Seven members of their staff quit to join Chelsea at the end of last year, with Potter joined by assistant Billy Reid, coaches Bjorn Hamberg and Bruno Saltor, goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts, player recruiter Kyle Macaulay and global transfer chief Paul Winstanley.
As first revealed by Football Insider, Everton also recently hired Lee Sargeson from Brighton in a senior recruitment role.
Brighton are currently seventh in the English top flight, just three points behind Fulham, who have played two extra games.
They have gone to a new level since Roberto De Zerbi took over as manager from Potter and have secured some notable wins, including two over Liverpool since the start of this year alone.
