Sources: Bukayo Saka signs five-and-a-half year Arsenal contract

Bukayo Saka has signed a new five-and-a-half-year deal with Arsenal, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners have reached an agreement with the 21-year-old winger that will see him extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2028.

Arsenal are set to announce the new deal imminently after agreeing terms with Saka.

Mikel Arteta is a huge admirer of Saka and made a new deal for the winger a top priority for the Gunners after finalising a contract extension for forward Gabriel Martinelli.

Football Insider sources revealed earlier this month that Arsenal have agreed a new £40million deal with Martinelli that will keep him at the club until 2027.

Saka‘s previous deal with the Premier League leaders ran until 2024 but after becoming a key player for Arteta’s side he has been handed a new bumper deal.

He has been a star performer for Arsenal this season, with his nine goals and eight assists in the league helping the club to the top of the table.

His talent was also recognised by Arsenal fans over the last two seasons, with Saka winning the club’s Player of the Season award in 2021 and 2022.

Saka joined Arsenal’s Hale End academy during his childhood and spent 10 years progressing through their youth teams before graduating to the first team in 2018.

He helped Arsenal to their FA Cup success in 2020 while also playing a part in the club’s runners-up finish in the 2019 Europa League.
