Sources: Chelsea make move to sign Wilfried Gnonto - want early deal done with Leeds United
Chelsea have entered the race for Leeds United star Wilfried Gnonto after adding him to their list of targets this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The forward, 19, already has eyes on him from multiple Premier League clubs on the back of an impressive debut campaign.
It is believed that Gnonto will quit Elland Road should Leeds be relegated at the end of the season.
Scouts from Chelsea have regularly watched Gnonto this season and there is a belief he will develop into a complete Premier League star in the future.
The Londoners have registered their interest in a potential summer deal.
The Italian has thrived since joining Leeds last summer in what seems an absolute bargain from FC Zurich for £3.8 million.

Chelsea are concentrating this summer on offloading big-earning fringe players as well as recruiting A-list young talents under the age of 24 who can be part of a long-term project.
They also want to get deals done early in the window to allow the new manager – expected to be Mauricio Pochettino – a full pre-season to work with the new arrivals.
If Leeds survive the drop, it is far less likely they will be willing to let Gnonto go or that he will push as hard for a move behind the scenes.
He has made 25 appearances for United this season, scoring four goals and supplying three assists, but it is also the manner of his play and dynamism that has struck scouts and observers.
