Sources: Chelsea make Ruben Loftus-Cheek available for transfer
Chelsea are set to make Ruben Loftus-Cheek available for transfer at the end of the season, sources have told Football Insider.
Loftus-Cheek will be in the last year of his contract at Stamford Bridge in the summer and although the Blues have the option of an extension, they are not keen to activate it.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed more game time under Graham Potter and has started 16 of the 19 Premier League games he has featured in.
Loftus-Cheek has already surpassed his starting XI tally from last season when he made 24 league appearances and was only included in the starting lineup 13 times.
Speaking after the 1-0 win over Leeds United earlier this month, the midfielder hailed the “fantastic” Potter and insisted him and his teammates have “massive respect” for their current boss.
The former England international worked his way through Chelsea’s academy before joining up with the first team in 2017.

He then spent the 2017-18 season on loan with Crystal Palace before going out on loan again in the 2020-21 season to Fulham.
He returned to Stamford Bridge at the end of the 2020-21 season where he has tried to fight for a place in the first team.
The Blues are currently tenth in the Premier League and 11 points off a top four spot heading into the final ten games of the season.
Potter’s side also qualified for the quarter-final of the Champions League where they face Real Madrid next month.
