Antonio Conte has given the green light to Tottenham listening to offers for Sergio Reguilon this summer, Football Insider understands.

The left-back, 25, has been a mainstay of the team since joining from Real Madrid in 2020 and has 21 Premier League starts this season.

But a recruitment source has told Football Insider that Conte is not totally convinced by Reguilon and believes the team need a better option at left wing-back next term.

He has let the Spurs hierarchy know he is willing for the Spain international to be sold to raise funds for new signings.

Reguilon is regularly linked with a return to Spain, with a buy-back clause available to Real Madrid this summer.

The Madrid-born star joined Spurs from his boyhood club in 2020 during Jose Mourinho's time in charge.

He was a mainstay under the Portuguese manager and made 37 appearances during his first season in north London.

Reguilon remained the first-choice left-back under Nuno Espirito Santo, starting all but one Premier League game under the ex-Wolves boss.

While he has also featured regularly under Conte, the Italian has also proven fond of Ryan Sessegnon at left wing-back.

The 52-year-old has now told the Spurs top brass he needs to strengthen the left-hand side of his defence.

He is willing to let Reguilon depart to free up space in the squad and bolster his transfer budget.

The six-cap international has played 65 times for Spurs, with two goals and nine assists under his belt.
