Sources: Coventry City place £5m price tag on Norwich City target Callum O’Hare

Coventry City have placed a £5million price tag on Norwich City target Callum O’Hare, Football Insider understands.

The former Aston Villa attacking midfielder is on the radar of Norwich boss Dean Smith going into the summer window.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Coventry will not stand in the way of O’Hare, 23, if their asking price is met.

Norwich are in the market for attacking players and are lining up a move for the Villa academy product, who Smith knows well.

He is under contract at the Sky Blues until the summer of 2024 after signing a new long-term deal at the beginning of the year (7 January)

O’Hare was around the Villa first team when Smith took over in October 2018 and made his sixth and final first-team appearance for the club under him in the FA Cup in January 2019.

The Solihull-born ace then joined Carlisle United on loan before another temporary move to Coventry followed that summer.

After a successful season with the Sky Blues he was released by Villa in the summer of 2020 after they had won promotion to the Premier League.

A permanent move to Coventry followed and he has now racked up 34 goal contributions in 131 games across all competitions for the club.

Mark Robins’ side are chasing a Championship play-off place this term and are currently in ninth, three points off the top six.

Norwich look destined to return to the second-tier as they are bottom of the Premier League, seven points from safety.
