Sources: Coventry City respond to Burnley bid for Callum O'Hare
Burnley have had multiple bids for Coventry City attacker Callum O’Hare rejected, Football Insider understands.
New Clarets boss Vincent Kompany has targeted O’Hare, 24, as he looks to add some creativity to his midfield ahead of the new season.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Coventry are keen to keep hold of the former Aston Villa youngster, but are braced for an improved offer from Burnley before the window shuts.
O’Hare enjoyed an outstanding campaign for Coventry last season with five goals and eight assists in 45 Championship games.
He is under contract at the Sky Blues until the summer of 2024 after signing a new long-term deal at the beginning of the year (7 January).
Football Insider reported earlier this summer (18 April) that Coventry have placed a £5million price tag on the former England youth international.

Norwich City also have O’Hare on their radar as they also target an immediate return to the Premier League.
Burnley have already added creativity to their squad this summer with the £4million signing of Scott Twine from MK Dons.
Kompany has also added defenders Taylor Harwood-Bellis, CJ Egan-Riley and Luke McNally as well as midfielder Samuel Bastien.
O’Hare has 25 goal contributions in 134 games across all competitions for Coventry and was a key part of the side that won the League One title in 2019-20.
The Sky Blues finished 12th in the Championship in 2021-22, 11 points behind the play-off positions.
In other news, Burnley are lining up an offer for a Derby County 21-year-old.
