Sources: Ellis joins Arsenal after deal agreed
Arsenal have appointed James Ellis to their recruitment team after he finalised a move from Fulham, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
Ellis has been been a senior scout at the west London club since joining in 2015.
An Arsenal source has told Football Insider that the club have had an offer accepted by the Leicester-based talent spotter and he has joined their recruitment team in a new role.
At Fulham, Ellis was the first-team scout for the UK and Europe.
He has accepted a new role at Arsenal, where his responsibilities will lie solely in the UK and he will assess players capable of fitting into the first-team squad.
Ellis will report directly to Edu, who is the technical director at Emirates Stadium.

It continues the overhaul of the recruitment team at Arsenal that continued last year with the appointment of former Premier League director of football Richard Garlick to the role of director of football operations.
The north London outfit are working on bolstering their squad this summer following a number of lean years.
Their first new arrivals are set to come from the Continent rather than Ellis’ new UK patch.
Benfica left-back Nuno Tavares and Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga are both putting the finishing touches to transfers.
Tavares is believed to have undergone a medical at London Colney on Friday ahead of finalising his move from the Portuguese giants.
Lokonga has also agreed personal terms and is close to joining for a fee of around £15m.
