Sources: Euro club set sights on signing Man United star Amad Diallo after Erik ten Hag decision

Nice have set their sights on signing Man United attacker Amad Diallo on loan, sources have told Football Insider.

The Red Devils are open to letting the 20-year-old leave Old Trafford on a temporary basis.

United manager Erik ten Hag has decided a loan move would be best for the winger’s development this season.

A host of clubs from England and abroad have made enquiries for Diallo, including Nice.

The Ligue 1 side have already signed Kasper Schmeichel from Leicester City and Aaron Ramsey on a free this summer.

Diallo spent the second half of the 2021-22 campaign at Rangers with Ramsey.

In January 2021, Man United signed Diallo from Atalanta in a deal worth up to £37.2million.

However, the Ivory Coast international’s opportunities have been limited at Old Trafford.

He has made just nine appearances for the first team and was not included in either of Ten Hag’s matchday squads this season.

Diallo impressed while on loan at Ibrox for the second half of last season.

He scored three goals in 13 appearances for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, who were narrowly beaten by Celtic to the league title.

The winger has three years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford.

Man United are in the market for numerous signings prior to the transfer window closing later this month.

The Red Devils have added Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen and Tyrell Malacia to their squad so far this summer.

In other news, a finance guru has claimed the Glazers now have a Man United ‘exit’ plan as ‘£10billion’ takeover is on the cards.
