Sources: Everton and West Ham in race to beat Southampton to Kvaratskhelia signing
West Ham and Everton are plotting moves for Rubin Kazan attacker Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Football Insider understands.
The Georgia sensation, 20, is regarded as one of the best young talents in Europe after impressing for club and country in the last 18 months.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that West Ham and Everton have a concrete interest in Kvaratskhelia ahead of the January window.
He is also on the radar of Southampton after the likes of Tottenham and AC Milan were previously linked with him.
The Premier League clubs are all looking to bolster their attacking options when the transfer window reopens in January.
Kvaratskhelia caught the eye of their talent spotters with two goals for Georgia in their 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Sweden last month.
The youngster now has five goals in 12 games for his country after making his debut as a 19-year-old in September 2020.
Rubin Kazan and the Russian Premier League are now on their winter break so he will not play any more football until February unless he secures a move next month.
West Ham may be prompted to move for a new attacker in January as Michail Antonio’s poor form continues.
The 31-year-old has not scored in his last eight Premier League games and has one in his last 11.
Everton are also struggling in front of goal and confirmed earlier this week (14 December) Richarlison will be out for a number of weeks with a calf tear.
Kvaratskhelia has scored nine times and provided 16 assists in 72 games in the Russian Premier League, including 48 starts.
