Sources: Everton make approach to sign Harry Winks as Tottenham asking price revealed

Everton have made Harry Winks a top priority after registering their interest in a summer deal, Football Insider understands.

This site revealed on (30 May) that Spurs have told the 26-year-old he is free to find a new club and they will let him go if their asking price is met.

An Everton source has told Football Insider that the club have made contact over a potential deal for Winks.

The Lilywhites value the centre-midfielder at around the £20million mark.

That would be enough to seal a deal for a player who established himself as a mainstay in the first team after graduating from the club’s academy.

Winks has failed to establish himself as a regular under Antonio Conte.

The 10-times England international has fallen down the pecking order following the arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur in January.

Spurs have bolstered their midfield ranks with the addition of Yves Bissouma from Brighton earlier this week.

The Mali international’s arrival means Winks is surplus to requirements in north London.

Winks has two years left on his current contract.

The midfielder made 30 appearances in the 2021-22 campaign, with 19 of those games in the Premier League.

Everton manager Frank Lampard is desperate to bolster his midfield this summer.

Fabian Delph has left Goodison Park upon the expiration of his contract while Donny van de Beek has returned to Man United following a loan spell on Merseyside.
