Everton have made approaches for Watford forward Joao Pedro and Wolves star Adama Traore, sources have told Football Insider.

The Merseysiders are working on signing a pacy forward capable of playing wide or down the middle as they prepare to lose Anthony Gordon.

They have registered their interest in Newcastle United target Pedro as well as Wolves' Traore.

Newcastle have made a second bid of £25m plus £5m in add-ons for Pedro after their first offer of £20m was exclusively revealed by Football Insider on 15 August.

Everton are set to have cash to spend as Chelsea ramp up their interest in Gordon.

Tottenham are also lining up a bid for the England under-21 international who has three years remaining on his contract at Goodison Park.

Frank Lampard's team made a move for Traore earlier in the summer but he was holding out for a top-four club at the time.

The Toffees hope his stance will change as the window draws to a close.

Traore has featured exclusively as an impact substitute for Wolves this season.

He played the last 20 minutes of Bruno Lage's side's 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday.

The winger has entered the final 12 months of his contract at Molineux.

The club may decide to cash in on Traore now rather than lose him on a free in 10 months time.

However, a deal would appear difficult to do as Graham Potter wants to keep hold of the Belgium international.
