Everton are plotting a stunning swoop for Jack Grealish as they look to make him their headline summer signing, Football Insider has learned.

The Merseysiders are planning to be in the race for the Aston Villa captain in the next window regardless of whether his side stay up or not.

An Everton source has told Football Insider that the club believe they can lure Grealish, 24, with the promise of working with an elite manager in Carlo Ancelotti as well as building their team around his matchwinning talents.

Villa face a huge battle to keep hold of their prize asset this summer even if they are successful in avoiding the drop.

Grealish has been heavily criticised in the past week after being caught flouting government social distance guidelines by attending a party at Ross McCormack's house.

But that will not stop a Premier League stampede for his services this summer.

Man United have been strongly linked with a big-money swoop for Grealish and Football Insider understands they are planning a major bid for him.
