Everton are interested in signing Wolves star Daniel Podence, sources have told Football Insider.

The Merseysiders are in the market for versatile attackers who are proven in the Premier League and can operate in multiple positions.

Podence, 27, is on the radar of Everton's recruitment team amid growing signs this season could be his last at Wolves.

The Portugal international is one of the many Wolves stars represented by Jorge Mendes and his agency Gestifute.

It is believed Mendes will look to find a new club for Podence over the coming months even though he has been a regular starter for Wolves this season.

His contract with Wolves runs until the summer of 2024.

The forward has been operating on the left side of the team's attack and started 10 of their 12 Premier League matches this season.

Despite only scoring twice in the Premier League this season, Podence is the club's joint top-scorer as they struggle in front of goal.

That takes his goal tally to 12 in 81 appearances across all competitions for Wolves and he has also chipped in with eight assists.

Everton have been much more fluid in front of goal than Wolves this season and have been keen on signing versatile attackers.

Frank Lampard brought in Neal Maupay and Dwight McNeil in the summer and has guided them to mid-table after 11 games.

The two clubs did business in the summer when Conor Coady joined Everton on loan and there is an option for the deal to be made permanent next summer.
