Sources: Fulham make approach to sign Coventry star Gyokeres
Fulham have made an approach to sign Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres, Football Insider understands.
The Cottagers are in the market for a new centre-forward to provide cover and competition for star man Aleksandar Mitrovic.
A Fulham source has told Football Insider that Gyokeres, 23, is a leading target now they have secured promotion back to the Premier League.
The Londoners have watched the Sweden international closely this season and believe he is capable of making an impact in the top flight.
They have registered their interest in a potential deal for the frontman on the back of his 17-goal campaign, 16 of which have come in the Championship.
Gyokeres has a contract that runs until the summer of 2024.

He only joined Coventry on a permanent basis in the summer of 2021 following a successful six-month loan from Brighton during the previous campaign.
During his first spell at the club, he scored three goals in 19 appearances.
During four years on the south coast, Gyokeres failed to make a Premier League appearance for the Seagulls.
He did make eight appearances in the domestic cups and scored in a 4-0 EFL Cup win against Portsmouth in September 2017.
Gyokeres’ form this season has earned him a recall to the Sweden national team after a two-year absence.
He replaced Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he pulled out of the squad with an injury.
Fulham have returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
A win in tonight’s game (2 May) against play-off chasing Luton Town would secure the Championship title.
