Fulham are rivalling Bristol City for Cardiff City attacker Bobby Reid, Football Insider understands.
Bristol City want to sign Reid after missing out to Leeds for Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah.
However, Fulham have now made a late move for Reid as they look to try and steal in for the attacker’s signature.
Cardiff are open to selling Reid before Thursday’s transfer deadline as long as they recoup most of the £8.5million they paid for the player last summer.
Reid left Bristol City to join Cardiff last summer following their promotion to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old struggled to hold down a regular place in the Cardiff side last season, making 29 appearances and scoring five goals.
Now a source close to Cardiff has told Football Insider that Fulham want to sign him today.
Reid is now weighing up his options and waiting to see if either club can agree a fee with Bristol City.
