Fulham have made a new move for Tottenham defender Joe Rodon, sources have told Football Insider.

The Premier League new boys first targeted the centre-back, 24, earlier this summer after he failed to make an impression under Antonio Conte last season.

Now Fulham have got back in touch to register their interest in Rodon as they look to tie up a deal before the window shuts.

Tottenham are willing to sell the Wales international, who signed from Swansea City for £11million rising to £15m.

Conte has given the green light as he does not see Rodon as a key part of his plans for next season.

As confirmed by the club on 9 July, the defender has not travelled to South Korea for the club's pre-season tour.

Rodon only made three appearances in the Premier League during the 2021-22 season.

He played 86 minutes across three substitute appearances with 78 of those minutes coming in 11 September's 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace.

The defender then came off the bench in two of Spurs' last three Premier League games playing eight minutes and one minute against Arsenal and Burnley respectively.

Tottenham expert John Wenham told this site on 18 May that those recent outings may have hinted that Rodon does have a future at N17, however Spurs are now open to letting him go.

Fulham have already been active in the transfer market ahead of their return to the Premier League.

Defensive midfielder João Palhinha, 26, has arrived from Sporting Lisbon while Man United outcast Andreas Pereira, 26, is also set to join the club, as per Fabrizio Romano (5 July).
