Fulham boss Marco Silva is desperate to strengthen his front line and land a long-term replacement for Aleksandar Mitrović in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed that Chelsea star Armando Broja is one name being looked at by Craven Cottage chiefs ahead of the new year.

Broja, 22, is yet to make a real breakthrough at Stamford Bridge since progressing through the club's ranks.

Fulham could step up their interest in the Albania international as they prepare to end their interest in Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.

Broja could be a realistic alternative to the Guinea international, but it is unclear if Chelsea would allow him to leave mid-season.

It is believed the Blues would have to sign a new striker of their own before allowing the 22-year-old to leave.

The Stamford Bridge star has made seven appearances across all competitions this season, scoring one goal.

But most of those outings have been as a substitute and Broja has played just 152 minutes of Premier League action this term.

He has only recently returned from a serious knee injury which kept him out for the majority of the 2022-23 campaign.

The 17-cap Albania international's most successful season in England came at Southampton, where he scored nine goals in 38 appearances on loan in the 2021-22 campaign.

Fulham sit 14th in the Premier League ahead of their next game against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday (6 December).
