Sources: Gallagher passes Crystal Palace medical as deal agreed after Leeds snub
Conor Gallagher has passed a Crystal Palace medical and finalised a loan from Chelsea, Football Insider has learned.
The London club have fended off late interest from Leeds United to agree the capture of the central midfielder.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Palace are set to imminently announce Gallagher’s arrival on a season-long loan.
Chelsea have given the green light for the midfielder to leave in search of regular first-team football.
He spent the 2020/21 campaign at West Brom and his performances caught the eye of Leeds and Palace.
The Whites were keen to sign Gallagher as cover and competition for the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Mateusz Klich and Stuart Dallas.

However, despite a late move from Marcelo Bielsa’s men, the Chelsea starlet is set to move across London to Selhurst Park.
Palace have been in the market for numerous recruits this summer after allowing several first-team stars to run their contracts down.
Gallagher is set to become the fifth signing of the summer for Crystal Palace.
He will be the second from Chelsea after defender Marc Guehi joined permanently.
Patrick Vieira’s men have also added Joachim Anderson, Michael Olise, Remi Matthews and Jacob Montes to their ranks.
Gallagher is yet to make his competitive debut for Chelsea.
However, he has spent time on loan at Charlton, Swansea, and West Brom.
He made 30 Premier League appearances for the Baggies last season, with two goals and two assists under his belt.
Vieira’s other midfield options include Luka Milivojevic, Jairo Riedewald and James McArthur.
