Sources: Inter Milan open door to Man United sealing £70m Lautaro Martinez deal
Inter Milan are willing to sell Man United target Lautaro Martínez this summer as the Italian giants look to raise funds for the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils have identified the 25-year-old as a potential summer signing should they fail to bring Harry Kane to Old Trafford.
It is believed that the Argentina international will be available for around £70million this summer – and clubs around Europe have been alerted to the possibility of signing him.
Man United are currently exploring a deal for Tottenham’s Kane as Erik ten Hag pushes ahead with plans to bring an A-list striker to the club this summer.
However, sources have told Football Insider (26 April) that Spurs will demand a fee of £100million for his prize asset.
That asking price is hard for interested clubs to swallow, and a deal for Martinez is seen as a perfect alternative to England’s all-time top scorer.

Ten Hag wants a frontman who can press and the 25-year-old is seen as the “perfect forward” by the Man United boss for his high-intensity system.
United could move for Martinez if they cannot seal a cut-price deal for Kane – and the Inter forward is keen to play in the Premier League.
Other bids are expected for Martinez in the summer window – with the likes of Real Madrid and Arsenal also monitoring the striker.
The former Racing Club ace has scored 21 times across 47 appearances in all competitions this season.
Martinez has also made 48 appearances for his country and netted 21 times on his way to two major honours with Argentina – including the World Cup in Qatar.
