Sources: Jose Mourinho plotting Ruben Loftus-Cheek raid after he's made available by Chelsea
Jose Mourinho wants to bring Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek to Roma, sources have told Football Insider.
Fellow Italian side AC Milan are incredibly keen on Loftus-Cheek whilst Premier League clubs are also believed to be interested.
The 27-year-old will have a year left on his current contract at the end of the season but the club do have the option to extend by a further 12 months.
But, Football Insider has learned that the Blues are not keen to activate that extension and are likely to put the midfielder up for sale this summer.
Loftus-Cheek has made 27 appearances for Graham Potter’s side across all competitions this season and has started three of their last four Premier League matches.
Under Thomas Tuchel, Loftus-Cheek was in the starting XI for five Premier League games and was a consistent starter following Potter’s arrival.

But he was sidelined with a calf injury at the end of the December for a number of weeks and only returned to the starting XI last month.
The midfielder has worked his way through the ranks at Stamford Bridge from the academy through to the first team.
The former England international spent two seasons on loan, one with Crystal Palace in 2017-18 and the second with Fulham in the 2020-21 season.
Last week (24 March), Football Insider revealed that Chelsea are still interested in pursuing a deal for West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
The England international could cost more than £100million if he leaves the Hammers in the summer, meaning Chelsea may need to sell other players in order to facilitate a move.
