Sources: Kompany working on deal to lure Man City sensation Delap
Anderlecht are working on a deal to sign Man City sensation Liam Delap, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The forward, 18, signed a new five-year contract earlier this week as the Premier League champions tied him down until 2026.
A City source has told Football Insider that Delap could now go on loan for the season to get regular senior match experience at a high level.
Anderlecht, who are managed by City legend Vincent Kompany, are trying to lure the brilliant teenager.
They face competition from multiple English clubs, with Stoke City and Bournemouth among those interested in a loan deal.
City are considering letting the starlet leave temporarily in order to boost his development through regular first-team football.

He scored on his senior debut last season in a 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the League Cup.
Delap made his Premier League bow just days later, coming off the bench in a 5-2 defeat to Leicester City.
The youngster’s only other first-team appearance came back in January in an FA Cup tie against Birmingham City.
He scored 24 goals in 20 appearances to help City’s under-23 side seal the Premier League 2 Division One title last season.
His impressive performances have caught the eye of several clubs across Britain and Europe in the market for a striker.
Former City captain Kompany is keen to add Delap to his ranks at Anderlecht after an indifferent start to the season.
Benito Raman, a new arrival from Schalke, has been the club’s first-choice striker so far this season.
Anderlecht also have Man City defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis, 19, on loan for the season.
