Leeds United flop Ouasim Bouy is in line to be one of the first senior players offloaded by the club this summer, Football Insider understands.
The central midfielder, 25, has revived his career this season while on loan at Dutch Eredivisie club PEC Zwolle, who are managed by ex-Reading boss Jaap Stam.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club are hopeful a permanent buyer can now be found for a player they have been trying to sell for each of the three previous windows.
Bouy has not made a senior appearances for Leeds since joining on a free transfer in the summer of 2017 on a four-year contract.
The central midfielder was immediately loaned out to Leeds’ feeder club Cultural Leonesa in the Spanish second tier but that deal was ripped up midway through last season and he returned to Thorp Arch, where he was frozen out of the matchday squad.
Bouy has had more success out on loan at PEC Zwolle, making 21 appearances for the 13th placed Dutch club this season, including 11 league starts.
But he is still a long way from living up to the billing of his representative, the super-agent Mino Raiola, whose clients include the likes of Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, David de Gea, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli.
In other Leeds United transfer news, it can be REVEALED that the club have set their sights on signing two Liverpool players who have dazzled this season.
