Sources: Leeds United could now accept £25m Crysensio Summerville offer

Leeds United will demand a fee of between £25-30million for winger Crysensio Summerville if he is to leave this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

This site revealed on Monday (24 April) that Newcastle United are among the top clubs monitoring the 21-year-old’s situation.

Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund are also among Summerville’s admirers following his breakthrough season at Leeds.

Both sides see the winger as a player with huge potential – and he is expected to be one of the stars of this summer’s Under-21 European Championships for the Netherlands.

Summerville fits the transfer strategy for both Newcastle and Dortmund, who will target Under-24 players capable of becoming major stars in the coming transfer windows.

It is believed that if Leeds drop to the Championship, they will find it hard to keep hold of Summerville.

Javi Gracia’s side are teetering above the Premier League drop zone after a series of heavy losses in recent weeks.

That is despite Summerville notching four goals and two assists in 27 appearances across all competitions this term.

Among those strikes was a last-gasp winner away at Liverpool in November as the Whites claimed a famous 2-1 victory.

Former Feyenoord youngster Summerville has more than three years left to run on his Elland Road contract after he penned an extension last summer (2022).

The youngster earns a reported wage of £15,000-a-week on his Elland Road contract.

He has starred alongside Italy international Wilfried Gnonto this season, who is also attracting interest following an impressive debut season in the Premier League.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (24 April) that Leeds will likely be forced to sell Gnonto if they drop to the Championship, amid interest from Italian and English clubs.
