Leeds United have no plans to sell Dan James despite interest from Tottenham, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs have registered their interest in the Wales international as Antonio Conte looks to recruit a wide forward before the window shuts.

It is believed Leeds want to keep hold of James and insist he is not for sale in the final week of the window.

Spurs are also challenging Chelsea for the signature of Everton's Anthony Gordon.

Chelsea are also in the race to sign the England Under-21 international.

James was suspended for the first game of the new campaign but reprised his role in the Leeds United lineup for the 3-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday (21 August).

The Wales international has notched four goals and five assists in 37 appearances since joining the Whites last summer.

James is not the only Leeds United wide man in demand, with Jack Harrison also the subject of Premier League interest.

Tottenham, who are level on points with Leeds United in the top four of the Premier League, have already completed seven additions this summer.

The Lilywhites' marquee signing was a £60million move for Richarlison.
