Sources: Leeds star duo could miss Fulham clash due to injury scares as Bamford stays at home
Leeds United could be without two of their ever-presents against Fulham tonight amid injury scares, Football Insider understands.
Patrick Bamford did not travel with the squad to London for their EFL Cup clash at Craven Cottage and was instead in Leeds opening a new Elland Road cycle lane.
Luke Ayling may also miss out after limping out of last Friday’s 1-1 draw at Newcastle United.
Ex-United striker and club ambassador Noel Whelan told Football Insider yesterday he fears the right-back could have a knee ligament injury after what he saw at St James’ Park.
Bamford was spotted with strapping around his ankle in Leeds yesterday and has been left at home to rest and recover.
It means Leeds could be without two of their ever-presents this season for their second cup match of the campaign.

Ayling and Bamford have both started all five Premier League matches, while the right-back also started against Crewe Alexandra in the second round of the EFL Cup.
The centre-forward was a second-half substitute in that match, in which Rodrigo spearheaded the attack ahead of an attacking midfield trident of Jack Harrison, Tyler Roberts and Helder Costa.
Bielsa had picked a virtual full-strength side for that fixture as he looked to get his stars match fit earlier in the campaign.
With fixtures now coming thick and fast, he could use the third round of the competition as an opportunity for fringe players and rest some of his key men.
