Sources: Leeds well placed to sign Southampton star Che Adams
Che Adams will leave Southampton if they get relegated, sources have told Football Insider.
Leeds United are believed to be admirers of Adams and are prime to make a move to sign the striker if the Saints go down.
Earlier this month (8 March), Football Insider revealed that Everton are also interested in the 26-year-old ahead of the summer window.
The Scotland international’s current contract runs until 2024 after he joined from Birmingham in 2019, but he may look for an early exit if Southampton’s Premier League journey ends this season.
This site first revealed Leeds’ interest in Adams earlier this month (6 March) and the Whites are looking to try and sign the striker again this summer after numerous failed attempts in recent windows.
The Saints are currently bottom of the Premier League table and are facing the threat of relegation if they can’t turn their fortunes around quickly.

With ten games to go, Ruben Selles’ side are just two points behind 17th placed Leicester City who are currently just outside the drop zone.
However, only four points separate Southampton and Crystal Palace who are in 12th as the bottom half of the table prepare for a nervy end to the season.
Leeds are also not free from safety and although they’re currently 14th, they are only three points clear of the Saints, albeit with a game in hand.
Leeds currently have Patrick Bamford and January arrival Georgino Rutter to call upon up front.
But, given Bamford’s injury history and Rutter’s recent arrival, the Whites are rightly looking to strengthen their centre-forward options.
