Leicester City, Lille and Brugge are plotting moves for Montpellier attacker Stephy Mavididi, sources have told Football Insider.

Leicester are keen to bring in some new wingers and the 25-year-old figures high up their wanted list.

Mavididi has impressed in Ligue 1 with Montpellier in the last couple of seasons.

The former England U20 international started his career at Arsenal before leaving them to join Juventus in 2018, where he played just once in the senior side before heading to Montpellier in 2020.

The 25-year-old's current contract at the Ligue 1 club runs until 2024.

Mavididi made 27 appearances across all competitions for Montpellier last season and netted four goals and offered up two assists in those outings.

Leicester are in need of attacking reinforcements following their relegation to the Championship.

The Foxes have already lost star man James Maddison who joined Tottenham whilst winger Harvey Barnes could also depart.

Eddie Howe is keen to bring Barnes to St James' Park given his extensive top-flight experience.

Newcastle

The Englishman is keen on the project in place at the north east giants and the prospect of regular Champions League football is a "huge" draw.
