Sources: Liverpool intensify bid to sign 'phenomenal' Hlozek as groundwork laid to beat West Ham to deal

Liverpool are intensifying their interest in Sparta Prague sensation Adam Hlozek, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

This site revealed on 22nd April that the Merseysiders were keeping close tabs on the Czech Republic striker, 18, ahead of the summer.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Liverpool have a big interest in “phenomenal” Hlozek as they look to win the race for his signature.

West Ham and Serie A giants AC Milan are also pursuing the forward amid a growing likelihood he will be the next Czech export to seal a major-money transfer.

It is expected to cost between £15-20million to lure Hlozek from Sparta in this window.

Hlozek has emerged as the latest hot property from the Czech Republic and has already been capped four times by his country.

The latest of those came as a substitute in his country’s 2-0 Euros opener against Scotland on Monday night.

Liverpool are in the market for a new number nine who can develop under Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff.

The club have not set aside a huge budget for the position as they look to operate within their means in the transfer market.

Hlozek is regarded by talent spotters as an outstanding young forward capable of making the step up to the Premier League.

He has played 85 times for Sparta since graduating from their youth ranks.

He missed a big chunk of the recent domestic season with a broken foot but still scored 15 goals and provided nine assists from 23 matches.

The teenager ended the campaign with a glut of 10 goals from six games, including four in the final match of the season.

In other news, Klopp plans to change Liverpool system and hand Thiago new role next season.
