Liverpool are closing in on three new signings as they look to recruit the best young British talent, Football Insider understands.

The Reds have reached agreements with Fulham playmaker Fabio Carvalho, 19, Celtic winger Ben Doak, 16, and Derry City winger Trent Kone-Doherty, 15.

A Liverpool source has told Football Insider that all three deals are agreed in principle and the club are confident of formalising ahead of announcements in the coming months.

Carvalho came within a whisker of joining in January after undergoing a medical but the deal could not be completed in time.

Liverpool have remained in contact and are confident everything is in place for the teenage star to join when his contract expires at Fulham in June.

They have not agreed a fee with Fulham and the deal could yet be determined by an independent tribunal.

Personal terms have already been agreed with the Portugal under-21 international.

Liverpool will pay around £600,000 to Celtic for Doak, who has already been pictured on Merseyside holding aloft the number seven shirt.

The winger made his debut for the Hoops as a substitute against Dundee United at the end of January.

A few days later he was given his first taste of an Old Firm.

Trent Kone-Doherty is one of the Republic of Ireland's top young talents and he is already representing Derry's under-19 side at the age of just 15.

The attacker has scored twice in five appearances for his country at Under-16 level.
