Liverpool have put Irish goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher up for sale this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year-old shot-stopper this summer, with Jurgen Klopp no longer considering him as part of his long-term plans at Anfield.

Kelleher has competed with Adrian for the second-choice goalkeeper spot at Liverpool behind Alisson, and Klopp is looking to free up a spot in his goalkeeping department to allow younger academy players to progress.

After spending four years in Liverpool's academy, Kelleher graduated to the first team in 2019 and has remained a regular part of Klopp's senior squad since.

He has racked up 20 first-team appearances for the Reds, including four this season, and boasts an impressive record of keeping 10 clean sheets and conceding 23 goals in that time.

Liverpool tied Kelleher down to a five-year deal back in 2021, extending his stay at Anfield until 2026.

Just months later, he was named in the starting lineup for the 2022 EFL Cup final against Chelsea and scored the decisive spot-kick in an 11-10 shootout win.

But Klopp has now decided that Kelleher can leave the club provided an adequate bid arrives for him in the summer.

While Kelleher remains solidly behind Alisson in the pecking order at Liverpool, Kelleher is competing on the international stage with Gavin Bazunu to become the No.1 for the Republic of Ireland.

Both Kelleher and Bazunu made their international debuts in 2021 and have managed nine and 13 caps respectively.
