Sources: Major update on Grujic quitting Liverpool after weekend talks
Marko Grujic is confident of signing for Porto this month after being told he is free to leave Liverpool for good, Football Insider understands.
The Serbian midfielder, 25, has spent the last three seasons on loan, including at the Portuguese giants last term.
A club source has told Football Insider Liverpool will not stand in the way of Grujic leaving permanently this summer as they look to raise cash for new signings.
The central midfielder held talks over the weekend over joining Porto and they are negotiating the fee with Liverpool.
It will be an eight-figure sum, with the Merseysiders said to be holding out for £15m.
Grujic signed for Liverpool in 2016 but has only made 16 senior appearances for the club.

He joined from Red Star Belgrade but was immediately loaned back to the side and helped them complete an unbeaten season.
Loan spells at Cardiff City and Hertha Berlin followed before his move to Porto last season.
Grujic made the odd appearance for Liverpool between his various loan spells and bagged his first goal for the club in September 2020.
The Serbian chipped in with a goal as Jurgen Klopp’s side breezed past Lincoln City in the EFL Cup with a 7-2 win.
He has appeared in the Premier League and Champions League for Liverpool but never for more than 16 minutes.
That outing came in 2016’s 5-1 win over Hull City at Anfield.
Over his five years at Anfield, Grujic has only played 507 minutes of football which will be disappointing for fans of the club as he arrived with a big reputation.
Last season, he made 39 appearances for Porto and scored two goals.
