Man City have agreed to sign Leeds United rising star Brooklyn Nfonkeu, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The Premier League giants have made a move for the teenager after being impressed in youth team matches.

A City source has told Football Insider that terms have been agreed with Nfonkeu and he is set to link up with their academy set-up.

Nfonkeu is heading out of Elland Road after three-and-a-half years at the club.

He joined Leeds in January 2018 from local club Wortley FC and was most recently playing for the Under-15s.

A move to big-spending City, who waltzed to last season's Premier League title as well as reaching the Champions League final and winning the League Cup, will be regarded as proof of Nfoneku's immense promise.

It will also be a blow to the Yorkshire giants to lose a highly rated young player.

Leeds have been busy this summer luring top young talents from rival clubs.

Forward duo Amari Miller and Sean McGurk have already signed from Birmingham City and Wigan Athletic respectively.

Leeds are also tonight putting the finishing touches to the capture of midfielder Lewis Bate after he underwent a medical today.

There has also been business at senior level for the club, including a transfer from City.

Jack Harrison converted his third consecutive loan into a permanent transfer earlier this month to add to the £13m capture of left-back Junior Firpo from Barcelona.
