Sources: Man United now want to sign Wolves star hailed 'incredible' by Bruno Fernandes
Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes is on the radar of Man United ahead of the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The 24-year-old is on the Red Devils’ shortlist with Erik ten Hag desperate to strengthen his midfield options.
Football Insider revealed on 7 April that Liverpool are still pushing to sign Nunes this summer – with a fee of £50million believed to be enough to land him.
La Liga giants Barcelona and Premier League high-fliers Newcastle have also been linked with the Portugal international.
Nunes has turned out 32 times for Wolves across all competitions since joining the Molineux club last summer (2022).
He has plied his trade in a range of positions this season, including central midfield – and on the left flank.

The 24-year-old recently scored his first goal in English football as Wolves beat Chelsea on 8 April.
Nunes, who cost a club-record £38million in 2022, signed a five-year deal when he joined the Midlands club and earns a reported wage of £85,000-a-week.
Speaking in the aftermath of his move to Wolves last summer, Man United star Bruno Fernandes hailed the “incredible” midfielder and revealed that he had told Nunes to join the Old Trafford club.
Fernandes may now get his wish with Erik ten Hag now exploring a deal for the 11-cap Portugal international this summer as he looks to improve his midfield.
Scott McTominay has been widely linked with a potential exit, while the future of on-loan star Marcel Sabitzer is unclear.
Man United sit third in the Premier League and have already lifted the League Cup this season.
Meanwhile, Nunes and Wolves are not yet out of the fight against relegation despite pulling seven points clear of the drop zone.
