Man United will block all offers for winger Antony in the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

The Red Devils are short of attacking options and thus letting the 23-year-old go is not something they will consider mid-season - despite widespread reports suggesting otherwise.

Man United

It is believed the Old Trafford club are not ready to give up on Antony despite his poor start to the 2023-24 campaign.

He has made 12 appearances across all competitions this season but is yet to contribute a goal or assist.

That has led to speculation on his long-term future just 18 months after Man United spent a reported £85million to land him.

However, it is believed his situation could be revisited as early as next summer - once incoming owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has his feet under the table.

Ratcliffe, who is poised to buy 25% of the club and take control of footballing operations, could push Antony even further down the pecking order by bringing in new signings ahead of him.

The Brazil international's place is already under threat from 19-year-old Alejandro Garnacho, who was part of the starting eleven who beat Luton last week.

He earns a reported £200,000-a-week on his contract at Old Trafford – which is set to run until June 2027.

One Man United star who is set to leave in January, however, is Jadon Sancho - who hasn't played since September after falling out with Ten Hag.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (14 November) that Sancho is looking more and more likely to leave Old Trafford in the winter window.
