Sources: Man United plot new Denzel Dumfries swoop amid 'huge' Ten Hag reveal
Man United could return for long-term target Denzel Dumfries this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Red Devils considered a move for the 26-year-old in January but couldn’t raise the funds for a permanent deal.
Sources have told Football Insider that Erik ten Hag remains a “huge fan” of Inter Milan star Dumfries ahead of the summer window.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for Dumfries in recent transfer windows – but are unlikely to pursue that interest after wrapping up a deal for Lyon defender Malo Gusto in January.
Inter’s financial troubles mean they could be forced to accept a lower fee than they expected.
It is believed a bid of between £40-50million could be enough to prise Dumfries away from the Serie A giants this summer.
