Sources: Man United to listen to offers for 'big time Charlie' as two keepers could sign

Man United will listen to offers for Dean Henderson as they set their sights on signing a second senior goalkeeper this summer, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

The Premier League giants are planning to continue the radical overhaul of their keeping ranks that has begun with the imminent capture of Tom Heaton.

A United source has told Football Insider the club’s coaches are not impressed by the attitude of Henderson, 24, and will let him go for the right price.

He is said be a “big time Charlie” behind the scenes and that has not gone down well with Ole-Gunnar Solskjaer and his staff.

Henderson returned to the United squad in 2020-21 after two hugely successful seasons on loan at Sheffield United.

He was handed a lucrative new five-year contract last August and tasked with providing cover and competition for longstanding number one David de Gea.

Henderson ended up making 26 appearances in all competitions, including starts in 10 of the club’s last 12 Premier League matches.

Tellingly, he was overlooked in favour of De Gea for the Europa League final, which United lost on penalties as an encouraging season ended in a whimper.

United would also sell the Spaniard for the right price, but his eyewatering £350,000-a-week wages eliminates him for all but a handful of elite clubs.

Henderson is more within reach and could join Sergio Romero in heading out of Old Trafford in the summer window.

One goalkeeper who will definitely be at the club next season is Heaton, who has agreed a two-year contract and is set to join on 1 July.

In other news, Man United have been hit by a devastating £110million blow.
