Sources: Medical booked as Leeds United finalise seventh summer signing from Celtic with Hjelde agreement sealed
Celtic defender Leo Hjelde is set to undergo a Leeds United medical after the two clubs agreed a fee, Football Insider understands.
The Norway youth international, who turns 18 later this month, is expected to imminently complete a move to Elland Road.
A Leeds source has told Football Insider that the club have had a bid for Hjelde accepted by Celtic, who have failed in their attempts to stop him heading south of the border.
He is out of contract at Parkhead next summer and snubbed attempts to secure him to an extenion.
Leeds have swooped for the youngster, who they have been tracking for a number of years going back to before he joined Celtic in the summer of 2019.
The teenage Norwegian has made it clear he wants to head south of the border and link up with the Premier League side.

Hjelde will become Leeds’ seventh summer signing and their fourth young one.
Midfielder Lewis Bate and forward duo Amari Miller and Sean McGurk all joined for significant fees.
In addition, United have signed left-back Junior Firpo, winger Jack Harrison and goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson for the first team.
This site revealed on 22nd June that United had opened talks over a potential deal for Hjelde.
He was wanted by Leeds in January but instead joined Ross County for the second half of last season.
Hjelde has been targeted because of what Leeds consider to be his enormous potential.
Former County manager John Hughes told BBC Sport the Norwegian is a “massive talent” who “is going to be the next Virgil van Dijk, trust me on that”.
