Sources: Middlesbrough working on last-gasp loan deal for Fulham midfielder

Middlesbrough trying to beat the deadline to sign Neeskens Kebano on loan from Fulham, Football Insider understands.

The 28-year-old has featured in just one Premier League game since the beginning of October.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider Boro are hoping to secure his services until the end of the season.

The north-east outfit were in talks with Fulham over a loan move for Aboubakar Kamara earlier today but the player chose to move to France instead.

Kebano moved to Craven Cottage in the summer of 2016 and has played 99 games for the club across all competitions.

The France-born attacking midfielder featured in the first four Premier League games of the season but has seen his game time severely limited in recent months.

He started just five league ames last season as Fulham won promotion via the Championship play-offs.

The form of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ademola Lookman has not helped him and he did not even start their FA Cup games last month.

Middlesbrough have been busy in the transfer window adding Darnell Fisher, Yannick Bolasie and Jordan Archer as they look to bolster their ranks to launch a play-off charge.

Neil Warnock’s side currently sit in seventh, just two points Bournemouth who occupy the final play-off position.

Boro have remained within touching distance of the top six despite their recent mixed form that has seen them pick up just one win in their last five games.

In other news, a Middlesbrough defender is set to join Crewe Alexandra in a last-gasp loan deal.
