Sources: Mohammed Kudus wants Erik ten Hag reunion after Man United contact made over £48m deal

Man United have made contact with Mohammed Kudus over a move in the summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The Ajax star is keen for a reunion with United boss Erik ten Hag and is very much on the club’s radar ahead of the summer window.

This site has learned that the Red Devils have made contact with the 22-year-old’s camp to discuss a potential transfer and the deal could be worth around £48million.

Ten Hag is believed to be a fan of the Ghana international, whose current contract at the Dutch club runs until 2025.

Sources have told Football Insider that Kudus has spoken to friends of his desire to play for Ten Hag again and is interested in a Premier League move.

The Ghanaian had agreed a deal to join Everton last summer but the move fell through at the 11th hour and he is now eyeing up another chance to transfer to the English top flight.

Kudus has made 32 appearances for Ajax across all competitions this season and has scored 16 goals and provided three assists in those outings.

Ten Hag has already poached Antony and Lisandro Martinez from his former club.

Back in June, The Times reported that the current United boss has a “gentlemen’s agreement” in place with the Eredivisie club that he won’t “gut” their squad.

But the Dutchman is still believed to be keen on bringing another member of his previous team to strengthen his attacking options moving forward.

In other news, according to Kieran Maguire, the Glazers could now stay at Man United after £45bn takeover twist.
