Sources: Newcastle United in talks to sign Goncalo Inacio - £45m offer will be accepted
Newcastle United and Man United are both showing major interest in Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old is viewed as one of the best young talents in Europe and has drawn interest from some of the biggest clubs.
His agents have been in Italy, Spain and England speaking to prospective clubs in a bid to land his client a big money move in the summer window.
Newcastle are busy preparing for a major transfer overhaul, with the Tyneside club preparing to flex their financial muscle under their Saudi owners.
They will face tough competition for Inacio’s signature, however, as he is being courted by clubs in the Champions League as well as Premier League rivals Manchester United.
A deal worth around £45million is likely to secure the signature of the Portugal international, who is expected to leave Sporting Lisbon in the summer.
