Sources: Newcastle United set sights on £60m-valued Thuram
Newcastle United are well placed to sign Nice star Khephren Thuram this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that the French club will be open to bids of £60million for the 22-year-old at the end of the season.
Thuram‘s contract at the Ligue 1 club runs until 2025 but they are beginning to accept that they may have to sell this summer due to the amount of interest in the midfielder.
Newcastle are in pole position and are aware they can have the player for £60m.
Premier League rivals Liverpool and European giant Real Madrid are also keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation.
The France international has made 45 appearances for Nice across all competitions this season and has scored two goals and provided two assists in those outings.
