Sources: Norwich City, QPR and Swansea City in race to sign Fiorentina star Jacob Rasmussen

Norwich City, Swansea City and Queens Park Rangers are plotting moves for Fiorentina defender Jacob Rasmussen, sources have told Football Insider.

The Championship trio are all in the market for a centre-back and have set their sights on the 25-year-old.

Rasmussen, 25, has slipped down the pecking order at Fiorentina and spent the last two seasons out on loan at Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.

The former Denmark Under-21 international joined Fiorentina from Emoli in January 2019, but he has yet to feature for the club having spent the last three years on loan at Empoli, Erzgebirge Aue and Vitesse Arnhem.

He was immediately loaned back to Empoli following his arrival at Fiorentina before failing to impress upon his return to his new club.

Rasmussen has been a regular for Vitesse during his two seasons at the club, making 72 appearances in all competitions and scoring three goals.

Rasmussen has featured heavily for Denmark’s youth sides, playing in every age group between Under 16s and Under 21s.

He is yet to make a senior appearance for his country with his last youth appearance coming in 2019.

Norwich, QPR and Swansea are all continuing to strengthen ahead of the start of the Championship season.
