Nottingham Forest are set to add four key players this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

Forest are looking to bring in a goalkeeper, centre-back, left-sided wide player and a goalscoring forward.

Steven Cooper is desperate to add an attacker that can score the goals needed to help them survive in the Premier League once again next season.

But in order to allow for new arrivals the club need to move players on and free up space on the wage bill.

On Monday (10 July), Football Insider revealed that three big names could quit this summer.

Jonjo Shelvey, Emmanuel Dennis and Remo Freuler are three star players deemed surplus to requirements for Cooper's side moving forward.

The Nottingham club would be keen on permanent moves for the trio in an effort to balance the books and ensure they comply with financial fair play regulations.

The four positions may not be the only areas Cooper strengthens in the coming months.

Although fans shouldn't expect to see a signing spree similar to last year, Cooper wants several new arrivals through the door for the 2023-24 campaign.

Forest finished 16th in the 2022-23 Premier League table and narrowly avoided relegation, ending the season four points above the drop zone.

The top flight newcomers beat out Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton to safety.
