Nottingham Forest are big admirers of Flamengo striker Pedro and will launch a summer move if they survive relegation, sources have told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old has been in scintillating form in the first weeks of the 2023 season in Brazil and has caught the attention of Premier League sides.

Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (11 April) that West Ham will also line up a summer deal for Pedro if they secure survival.

Both sides are planning to move again for striking reinforcements in the off-season despite already several deals for attackers in the 2022-23 campaign.

Pedro turned out as a substitute for Brazil twice at the World Cup in Qatar last year (2022) - and has scored once in four total caps for the Selecao.

He has already managed 14 goals in the first 15 games of this season after notching a career-best 29 goals in 59 games in 2022.

The forward's last foray outside of his native Brazil saw him move to Fiorentina - but he managed just four appearances for the Italian side between 2019 and 2021.

Forest have already done significant business in Brazil since returning to the Premier League - signing Danilo and Gustavo Scarpa from top-flight Palmeiras in January.

Steve Cooper's side are 18th by virtue of their goal difference – which is the worst of any top-flight side.

Strikers Taiwo Awoniyi, Emmanuel Dennis and Chris Wood have struggled to make an impact since joining the club this season.
