Sources: Portsmouth, Wigan Athletic and Hearts in race to sign Moore
Wigan Athletic, Portsmouth and Hearts have all registered their interest in signing Bristol City defender Taylor Moore, Football Insider has learned.
The EFL duo and Scottish Premiership outfit are in the market for a late centre-back signing.
An industry source has told Football Insider Bristol City are willing to loan out Moore in the final week of the window.
The 24-year-old is yet to feature in the Championship for Nigel Pearson’s side this season.
His only appearance this term was the Robins’ loss to Forest Green Rovers in the Carabao Cup first round.
Moore still has two years left to run on his Bristol City contract after penning a new three-year deal last October.
The former England Under-20 international was a regular for the Championship outfit last term before Pearson’s appointment.
Pearson took over in February and Moore has not featured in the league since.
Moore has played 60 times across all competitions for Bristol City.
He has also spent time out on loan with Bury, Cheltenham Town, Southend United and Blackpool.
A move to Wigan, Pompey or Hearts would give him the opportunity to play regular football away from Ashton Gate.
Wigan have been particularly busy this summer under new ownership but have so far focused on bolstering their attacking ranks.
Portsmouth have added nine players this summer, including defender Clarke Robertson from Rotherham United.
Hearts have added three players to the squad that won the Scottish Championship last season, including Ben Woodburn on loan from Liverpool.
In other news, Blackpool have submitted a six-figure bid for a League One star.
