Middlesbrough loanee Sol Brynn is a target for several Premier League and Championship clubs this month, sources have told Football Insider.

Premier League and Championship scouts have been regularly spotted watching the 22-year-old goalkeeper while on loan with Swindon this season.

Several League One clubs have also asked about taking Brynn on loan for the second half of the season in hopes that Middlesbrough will want him to play in a more challenging division.

Brynn has impressed during his time in League Two, with his displays making him a key part of Ben Garner's side.

The former England Under-18 international quickly established himself as the No.1 keeper at Swindon upon his arrival and he has since kept eight clean sheets in 25 games, conceding only 25 goals.

The Middlesbrough-born shot-stopper rose through the youth ranks at the Riverside but failed to make a senior appearance before being shipped out on loan.

His first temporary spell came at Darlington back in February 2021.

He joined Queen of the South later in the same year but was recalled in December.

Zack Steffen has shone at Middlesbrough since joining on loan from Man City, and the American remains Michael Carrick's first-choice goalkeeper.

Liam Roberts was also brought into the club, limiting Brynn's chances of even making the bench.

But a temporary step down to League Two seems to have served him well, with a Championship or even Premier League move now on the cards.
