Mikel Arteta’s side have pursued Ramsdale, 23, all summer after making him their top target to challenge Bernd Leno for the number one shirt.

He played every league game last season as the Blades were relegated from the top flight.
Ramsdale also started his side’s first two Championship games of the season but was left out of the side that lost 4-0 to West Brom last night.
Last season’s form saw him on the periphery of the England squad for this summer’s European Championships.
He was called up to the 33-mn provisional squad after Dean Henderson withdrew with an injury.
However, he did not make Gareth Southgate’s final squad.
Arsenal struggled in their opening Premier League games as they lost 2-0 to Brentford.
