Brentford winger Michael Olakigbe is a loan target for multiple EFL clubs this month - including Swansea City, Blackburn Rovers, Derby County and Oxford United, sources have told Football Insider.

Olakigbe, 19, made his Premier League debut earlier this season and has featured eight times as a substitute in the 2023-24 campaign.

Championship duo Swansea and Blackburn and League One pair Derby and Oxford have made enquiries about his availability on loan as they look to bolster their attacking options in this month's transfer window.

Olakigbe joined the Brentford B Team in the summer of 2022 after leaving Fulham's academy.

He played 27 times for the Bees' second team in his debut campaign, helping them to lift the Premier League Cup

He has also featured for the England Under-20 side this year, making two appearances against youth-level sides from Romania and Portugal.

The right-winger, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, signed a new contract at Brentford in December.

He has extended his stay in west London until 2028, with the Bees holding the option of extending his deal a further 12 months.

Upon signing that agreement, Olakigbe said: "[Brentford have] a lot of belief in me and my potential; I'm looking to fulfil that potential here."

The winger could take the next step in his development with his first loan spell at a lower-league side.

Swansea and Blackburn sit 16th and 17th respectively in the Championship after 26 games.

Meanwhile, Derby and Oxford are fourth and fifth in League One after 25 games and are both in the promotion hunt.
